About Rusty
Introducing Rusty!
Rusty is a Dachshund x Cavalier King Charles Spaniel born 23 August 2024.
Since being at the facility Rusty has been a beautiful boy to care for. He is only a young man, and an absolute love bug once he's comfortable with you and will climb on your lap for kisses & cuddles.
Rusty met other dogs both small and large and was very good with both of them.
Rusty tested well with cats. He showed no reaction when one of them smacked him, he just stepped back and when had to walk past the cat he was very cautious. We feel that he could be suitable to live with cats, if given a slow & controlled introduction to them.
He still has so much to learn about the world and would love to be in a home where he is included as a member of the family. Rusty will thrive in an environment that guides him with positive direction and lots of love and attention.
Rusty has shown no food aggression since being at the facility.
Rusty's adoption fee is $700 and includes his desexing & lifetime registration. Rusty is also regularly treated for flea and worms and is up to date with his vaccinations.

Rusty is currently at our East Maitland facility.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
