Terry

I am trying a new home to see if i like it. Terry is a lovely dog, happy and playful but also fairly quiet. He loves your company and sleeps at your feet or on your lap. Terry is house trained, loves his food, doesn't bark much or chew or dig and goes to bed when told then sleeps quietly in his doggy bed all night. He is well behaved, well socialised and enjoys going for walks but has come from a life of neglect and abuse and was very skinny when he first came into care with paws. Terry is rather wary of strangers and scared of loud noises, even a squeaky toy. He cringes and cowers if rebuked and won't chase sticks or a tennis ball, but runs and hides. Terry needs consistency and patience and to know that for him the good life has begun. No more nasty experiences but from now on to know there will be lots of love and cuddles, a warm bed and plenty of good food thrown in! terry is a house dog and is house trained with a coat that needs regular washing, brushing and grooming to keep it looking beautiful. He would like the company of another small dog but no small children since he is still rather wary. A quiet older family, person or couple would be ideal and then terry could give someone years of companionship after his sad beginning. Terry comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, on heartworm prevention and with nsw local council lifetime registration for $400 and is not available for adoption outside nsw. He has also had a recent dental (teeth cleaned under anaesthetic).
