About Gretel
I am trying a new home to see if i like it. Gretel is a dear little dog about the size of a miniature foxy but with the wiry coat of an australian terrier. Gretel came from a life of neglect and loneliness and, when she first came to her paws foster carer, she clearly had never been inside a house and slept outside for the first night. However she soon discovered the joys of a heater and later found the lounge room and the pleasure of a comfy doggy bed. Gretel is quiet, has not been heard to bark but likes your company and comes for a cuddle now and then. She is no longer timid, but is wary to begin with until she knows who she can trust. Gretel can sometimes be a little playful, like a puppy, with an enthusiastic greeting when you come home but has not yet learned to relax on a lap. She has learned to sit for treats and to come when called but is still rather scared of a lead and is unfamiliar with going for walks. Gretel is a house dog, house trained, loves her food and sleeps quietly in her little bed all night. Her coat is easy care and just a wash and brush will keep her looking beautiful. She'd love to share a home with a quiet person or couple, maybe retired, perhaps with gentle visiting grandchildren. She would also like a quiet doggy companion of similar size for company. With lots of patience, love and care she is sure to become a treasure to a dog lover and give many years of joy to her new owner. Gretel comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, on heartworm prevention and with nsw local council lifetime registration for $400 and is not available for adoption outside nsw. She has also had a recent dental (teeth cleaned under anaesthetic).
