About Orville
Please meet Orville, a playful, affectionate and very sweet-natured pup, who loves his morning cuddles. He was born on 16 December 2024. His expected weight at maturity is around 14 kgs so he's not a large dog. For a size comparison, check out the final photo, where Orville is sitting in the yard with his mate, a white Cavoodle.
When Orville was surrendered into our care, we were told he was a Foxy/Border Collie mix, but this doesn't seem to fit. We can see the Foxy in him, but not so much the BC. He is not a high energy dog and his exercise needs are moderate. Yes, he’s happy to play with the other dogs at his foster home, but you’ll often find him lounging around in the sun or napping on the couch. He has some brindle markings, so there's a dollop of some other (unknown) breed in there.
This is what his foster mum says about him: "Orville is honestly the sweetest dog I have ever encountered. He is so gentle and loving. He is always happy to see his people and play with the two resident dogs (one big and one small). I can't express just how incredibly loving he is."
Orville is one smart pup, too. He learnt to use the doggy door very quickly and that has made house-training a breeze.
He gets along well with other dogs. He hopes to have plenty of canine company at his forever home, whether that’s simply socialising with other dogs at the park or living in a multi-dog household.
He’s untested with cats.
Orville is keen to learn and keen to please. He loves to be told he's a good boy. He’s learning to walk politely on a leash and already knows his basic commands - sit, stay, move and leave it.
He’s also very people-focused and will never be far from your side, especially if he thinks he might score a cuddle or a pat.
He loves kids. Quiet and very sweet-natured, Orville will do well in a home with humans of all ages.
As always, secure fencing is essential.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
