Merryweather is a gentle girl and a sneaky cuddle monster who is very happy to snuggle on the couch next to you and Netflix together. She is a well-mannered smart girl who learns the do’s and don’ts very quickly.

Merryweather is happy to sleep in her bed while her foster mum works from home, loves big hugs and kisses, absolutely adores her squeaky toys and soft toys(a professional de-fluffer!) and enjoys all the attention she can get! She is a happy camper and an easy-going girl who is just so full of love and affection.

If you enjoy the company of a cheeky girl who will be your shadow, Merryweather is your girl! She is friendly, affectionate, good with routine, playful, energetic (with an ability to switch off as required), not aggressive and receptive to commands and your vibe.

She hardly barks at home and is very friendly with visitors. Although she is a bit timid at first however, in no time she will be enjoying pats and cuddles from her guests.

Although quite large compared to the resident fur-sisters, she is very gentle, and lives extremely well with them. She doesn’t mind sharing her bed, toys and her space with her foster sisters.

She is also good at being home alone with resident fur-sisters and has been tested for a few hours without any destructive behaviour. However, ongoing training will be beneficial.

She has shown no signs of food aggression or resource guarding and trusts her people. However, some supervision at dinner time will be helpful if you are feeding multiple dogs at the same time.

Merryweather would love to go to a home with a similar sized dog as being quite a young dog, she enjoys a good run around and playing with her doggie mates. As her energy levels are moderate, she would be happy with a medium sized backyard with regular walks, visits to dog parks, beach walks, hiking trails and all other adventures you could possibly think of (only after sufficient training, trust and bonding is achieved).

She travels extremely well in the car.

Merryweather will benefit from continued lead training with someone who handles her with confidence as she is very intuitive. After sufficient training in a fenced area, she has the potential to be a great off lead dog as well.

She is already doing well with commands like sit, no, go slow, come here, go to bed etc. She also waits patiently for her food and treats and enjoys following a routine.

Merryweather sleeps through the night (in her crate) and is toilet trained. Some training to use the doggy door will really help her to have a good mix of indoor and outdoor time. She is best suited for a home where he is included in activities, adventures, and everyday life as much as possible.

Teenagers or upper primary dog-savvy kids will be good for Merryweather. Not tested with young children although she should be fine with them after sufficient training and supervision.
