About Zoe
Meet Zoe, a sweet and brave, 2-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with a spirit that refuses to be broken. Despite having a horrific start to life, Zoe is an incredibly happy girl who's eager to find her forever home with someone who can offer her all the care and affection she deserves.
Zoe has suffered multiple pelvic and tail fractures that, unfortunately, cannot be repaired. We are unsure what caused these injuries, but we know that this poor girl would have been in a world of untreated pain.
These injuries have left her with some physical challenges, and as a result, her lifespan is sadly shortened. However, don't let that fool you - Zoe is a little warrior, living life to the fullest and radiating joy with every wag of her (very wonky) tail. Her condition means that while she is perfectly content now, things may deteriorate over time, and her new home should be prepared for what may happen.
Our little sweetheart Zoe has spent the last few weeks lapping up the attention in a foster home. Despite her struggles she slotted into the family life without missing a step. Zoe's current foster family has young kids and a cat - she has also met dogs and livestock on her foster journey. She adores children - tolerating and getting involved in even the most chaotic of toddler play (but generally she will just sleep through it). As for the cat, well Zoe isn't a huge fan. She can more than comfortably co-exist with a cat if everyone respects each other's space - but an in-your-face, super-playful kitty is definitely not Zoe's jam.
Zoe can be a Stage 5 Clinger; she LOVES her people and would prefer to spend more often that not with her family. She wants to watch you cook dinner (and perhaps sneaky a little treat every now and then) and she wants to sit right next to you on the couch. By far her favourite thing is to sunbake on the grass while you do the gardening - wherever you are - Zoe wants to be too!
Zoe might need a bit of extra care and understanding, but she is loving, loyal, and ready to fill your heart with her affection. She may not have many years ahead of her, but every day she spends with you will be filled with gratitude, companionship, and pure love. Zoe is looking for a kind-hearted family or individual who can offer her a peaceful, happy life full of cuddles, gentle walks, and the occasional treat.
If you wish to have a discussion about Zoe's medical conditions please email adoptions.cranbourne@dogshome.com or call us on 03 9702 8055 to discuss.
If you're someone who can appreciate the beauty of a soul like Zoe's and is ready to give her the best remaining years of her life, she's waiting to meet you! Come and let her show you just how much love a little dog with a big heart can give.
