About Star
Luna is a stunning Border Collie x Pointer who has already come so far on her journey to confidence. When she first arrived at the shelter, she was shut down and very scared, unsure of the world and the people in it. With the help of our dedicated trainer, kind humans, and some behavioral medication, Luna has started to blossom.
Luna wants to trust people-she longs to engage and connect-but she's still learning that humans can be safe and loving. Because of this, she needs a quiet, patient, and understanding foster-to-adopt home where she can continue to build her confidence at her own pace.
🌿 What Luna Needs:
✔️ A calm, child-free home where she won't feel overwhelmed
✔️A female only household - Luna has experienced some past trauma with males and although she is working on her confidence with them, and has made some friends, she isn't able to live with males yet.
✔️ A quiet environment with a backyard of her own.
✔️ Humans who are gentle, patient, and encouraging
✔️ A commitment to continuing her training journey with the support of our trainer
🐾 What Luna Loves:
💛 Playing! Once she feels safe, she loves to play and have fun
💛 Training sessions-she is super engaged and loves learning new things (especially when treats are involved!)
💛 The company of cats
💛 Playing with dogs - she would absolutely adore another dog in the home who can keep up with her play. She is great at taking breaks and reading other dogs, but would need a friend that would interact, not co-exist.
Luna isn't ready for walks just yet, but with time and the right support, she will continue to grow in confidence. Her foster humans will have ongoing support from our trainer, ensuring she is progressing well before we explore the next step-her adoption!
If you have a kind heart, a peaceful home, and the patience to help Luna shine, she could be the perfect companion for you. Will you be the one to give Luna the loving, understanding home she deserves? 💛✨
