Poor little SunnySideUp was found dumped in a field by a kind member of the public. He was rescued and taken to a vet before coming into care with Cat People of Melbourne. Despite his rough start, he’s full of love and confidence, always ready to make the most of life.

SunnySideUp is a handsome, full-ginger kitten with incredibly plush fur—no white markings in sight! His tail gets a distinctive little kink at the end when he’s curious, excited, or happy. He’s an affectionate, people-loving kitten who purrs the moment he’s picked up and starts making biscuits without hesitation. He adores cuddles, loves being carried around, and has a bright, delightful personality that makes him impossible to resist.

SunnySideUp is deeply social and thrives on companionship. Having already been abandoned once, he does not like being left alone. He must be adopted into a home with another kitten or a young, playful, and affectionate cat to keep him company. He gets along well with other cats, enjoys respectful children, and may do well with a cat-friendly dog after proper introductions.

SunnySideUp is a true sweetheart who greets the world with love and enthusiasm. He’s always ready to snuggle, knead biscuits, and soak up affection. SunnySideUp has received all his vet work, including desexing, microchipping, and vaccinations ((microchip #956000018844226, source #RE101165)). He has been treated for fleas and worms. He is in good health and ready to find his forever home!

To adopt from us you'll be required to have minimum an online meet & greet, a remote house check, show photo ID & proof of address, and fill out & sign an adoption contract.
Our animals are fully vet checked, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated and desexed before being advertised. They are evaluated for behavioural traits, fed a high-quality diet, and any known issues are communicated. NOT NEGOTIABLE CONDITIONS: indoor only/restrained to property & must be fed raw or vet prescription wet food.
We will communicate through every step of the process to ensure that the experience is excellent and your feline companion is the right fit. Read the contract for T&Cs for returns.
You must have residency in Australia to adopt from our group. If you are visiting or on a visa, talk to us about fostering instead!
