Tex

Tex is a super friendly, outgoing and loyal little mini dapple Dachshund with a sleek, short coat. He’s the beloved sibling of Phoebe (recently listed and adopted on PetRescue) and as such we are looking for a home for Tex with another friendly dog.

With his sweet and adorable personality, Tex has a way of making everyone smile. He loves to nudge you gently with his nose when he wants attention—his own little way of saying, "Hey, don’t forget about me!"

True to his affectionate nature, Tex is a wonderful walking companion. He stays right by your side on a loose leash and even sticks close when off-leash—perhaps “Shadow” would have been a more fitting name!

Tex is a quiet, calm, and easygoing boy, but he’s always up for playtime with a willing friend. He’s fantastic with children, having come from a home with kids, and gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes—as well as cats.

Car rides are no trouble for Tex; he’s a relaxed little traveler who enjoys the journey just as much as the destination.

Previously an outdoor dog, Tex has quickly embraced the comforts of indoor living and is clean and tidy. He’s also discovered the joys of lounging on a cozy dog bed, happily gnawing on his favorite chew toy.

At around 6 kilos, he’s slightly more robust than his sister Phoebe but still a fabulous small dog size, that makes him easy for all family members to manage. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and easygoing little companion, Tex might just be the perfect match!
