About Minnie
True to her working breed genes, Minnie is a go-getter with plenty of personality.
She is affectionate, robust, smart, active, playful, and spunky; mild and demure are not words we’d use to describe her. She absolutely loves attention from people - just check out her videos - but she's not overly needy.
Minnie would make a wonderful family dog for an active family, especially with any older confident kids/teens who won't mind initially that her enthusiasm can manifest in jumps (plural) to greet you - though this is something that will improve with training and outside the kennel environment where attention is sparse!
She is not a fussy gal and would be happy enough to spend her days outdoors supervising whatever's going on, with a bed inside for the evening.
Not quite a feminist, she likes to be the boss of other dogs, especially female dogs, so would be best suited as a solo-dog or with another (preferably male) dog who won't mind that she's going to insist on being the boss of the house.
A volunteer in her 70s fostered Minnie for a few weeks in her suburban home and got her walking on leash beautifully. Her paws-on-the-floor manners and toilet routine training was cut short by the foster carer's overseas travel plans, so her adoptive family will need to continue with that to help Minnie become the best girl she can be.
Minnie has heaps of love to give and would be a cracker of a companion. She is currently in Helensburgh NSW and would love to meet you!

Adoption details
The first step towards adoption is to complete our simple adoption/enquiry form so we can learn more about you and your lifestyle and see if that's a good fit for the pet you have in mind.
Completing the form does not oblige you to proceed any further if you don't wish to.
From there, we can arrange a meet and greet and if satisfactory for all parties the adoption can go ahead.
The perfect home for each individual pet is essential, and the decision about which new home the pet goes to is made by the founder of the rescue group.
