Slinky is a very sweet and loving little gentleman with a quirky personality and adorable facial expressions that will keep you amused for hours.

He is a gentle soul and can be a little shy at first but once he gets to know you he will be all about the purrs and the cuddles.

Slinky has spent most of his life as an indoor outdoor cat but since coming into our care has been purely indoor and has been enjoying the luxury of cozy couches, warm heaters, yummy food and lots of cuddles.

That said; you can tell that he would love to be outdoors running around so we would love to find him a home on a farm or with someone who has a big backyard where he can burn off some of his boisterous energy.

He's a very athletic cat who enjoys bouncing around like a gymnast and you can always tell when he needs to go to the bathroom as he gets zoomies just before and just after he poops.

Oh speaking of food: he is very food motivated. He becomes very vocal at dinner time or when he thinks you have food and will almost knock you over to get to his food bowl once you put it down.

Slinky also makes a great TV buddy and will happily curl up next to you while you binge your favorite TV shows. He loves a pat and a scratch and will purr away when you're giving him attention.

He's generally quite an aloof cat that likes to do his own thing but will often check in with you, come say hello, give you a bit of a cuddle and then continue on his merry way. But when he's in the mood for attention he is not shy to let you know - often jumping up on the desk and looking adorable while you're working.

Slinky enjoys being brushed and will even let you brush his belly. He will roll from side to side and look adorable while he's being groomed. He also likes to play fight while you're doing this sometimes but responds quickly when told no.

There's not a lot that bothers Slinky. He's a pretty relaxed little guy who is used to being around other animals and is happy to have attention from kids. He has a very gentle and non-dominant personality and does not have a mean bone in his beautiful little body.

Slinky also gets on well with other pets and would slot seamlessly into almost any household.

Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue service, run by one passionate individual with the help of friends and volunteers, that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes. We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.

Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with government resources, a large facility and a lot of staff. Our tiny rescue is a one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many cats as we can. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.

We are doing as much as we can right now but our dream is to one day be able to purchase a larger property or facility that would allow us to be able to save the lives of many more cats in need. Perhaps even open a cat cafe so that we can spread our message to a wider audience.
