About Jedda O'Cleary
TO APPLY FOR ADOPTION PLEASE SEND IN APPLICATION FORM AVAILABLE BELOW:
https://www.victoriandogrescue.org.au/adopt/
How sweet is that face? Jedda is a ball of nervy love looking for her
forever home and people to love on. This friendly sweet girl becomes
very attached and wants to be with her people more often than not. Jedda
loves to play and accompany you about the house while you do the daily
chores. She loves her food, sunbaking and sitting on your lap while you
watch tv but she isn’t at all keen on being out in the rain. She knows
how to sit and is very attentive to her people's voices and movements.
Jedda is gentle and friendly with people and pups alike. Jedda
has worked on her house training and has quickly learned the use of the
doggy door, but bear in mind there may be initial mistakes while
adjusting to a new home. After some big life disruptions, Jedda is
currently taking some supplements to settle her anxieties, which we
think will ease once she settles into her new home.
Jedda has only been in our care for a short time but past notes about
her and her foster carer's observations indicate she enjoys daily sniffy
walks and is good on lead and when interacting with other dogs while out
and about. Because of how hard she loves on her people, Jedda will need
to be in a home where someone is around a lot, although she would be
happy to share her love with more than one person. She may also do well
with the company of a calmer dog. Regular routines and interactive
activities for regular physical and mental stimulation will help Jedda
settle and build her confidence.
If you have fallen into the pool of Jedda's big brown eyes and are ready
to open your life to her, she would love to hear from you.
Jedda has not yet been tested with cats.
Thank you to Liv Morison of Liv Morison photography for the fantastic
photos of Jedda.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped,
wormed, and flea treated. All necessary vetwork such as dentals,
surgery, eye treatment are also carried out. We are no longer heartworm
testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If
a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions. Weight: 8.84kg.
Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer free assistance for six weeks for any issues, a lifetime takeback policy with full refund of the adoption fee, and will always be available to offer advice.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.

We look forward to receiving your application.
