About Rosie
So they say that Love comes in all shapes and sizes and nothing is as special as some love from a dashie!
Introducing the gorgeous Rosie, she is a 2 year and 3 month old Dachshund
Rosie is the sweetest girl who loves loves loves loves her person and if her favorite person is not around she will happily go to her number 2 person!
Rosie has come into care as an ex-breeding girl and the rescue has ensured all her vet work is completed and she is ready for her forever home spending days with her humans either snuggled up on the couch or by your side as you work from home.
Rosie did take a few days to really settle and adjust to her foster home but then once settled is very happy and confident to be anywhere in the house.
Rosie does bark at some people who come to the house – others don’t bother her.
Rosie does not have separation anxiety but she does love to be so close to her humans that she has been known to run up the back of their legs if you stop suddenly, yep not stalkish at all!!!!
She will use those beautiful brown eyes of her to make you fall in love with her and be all innocent at the same time.
Rosie is currently in care with other dogs of all shapes and sizes and happily interacts with them when she needs to – but she would very happily be an only dog where she can have all her humans love and she gives them all hers.
Rosie curently sleeps on the dog bed and will share with another dog but will mumble and give small growls until she is told no – then she will simply sleep close as possible to her human and do a few more mumbles under her breath
Rosie would love a life where someone is home more often than not, retired or works from home so she can hang when she wants, she love keeping my humans company and at the end of the day having a good cuddle on the couch or snoozing on your bed (especially a pillow).
Thru the day shes happy to hang out inside with her humans, access to outside thru a doggy door would be awesome, she is toilet trained but is not a outside enjoy the fresh air and sunshine type of girl – she is a nap inside with you type of girl!
Rosie can get very excited around her humans and will celebrate with a little dance and some dashie sounds – whilst we are working on her with that it’s a very nice feeling to know someone is that excited to see you!.
Rosie is untested on cats
Rosie is used to living with kids but would also be very happy in a kid free home where she can snooze on the couch and have her human’s undivided attention.
Rosie has been learning to use a ramp and has to be reminded to not jump off beds
Rosie is a beautiful girl who is full of love and cuddles and is waiting for her forever home

Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.

Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption - each bio will state if available for adoption - please check before applying.
