Meet Ruby: From #177 to Ready for Forever! ✨🏡

Hey there, lovely people of The Village.

Remember those fairy tales where the princess gets saved from a gloomy tower? Well, our Ruby's story is kind of like that, except instead of a tower, it was a rural pound, and instead of a dragon, it was… well, let's just say Ruby's future was looking a little ruff. 😔

But thanks to The Village Tails magic, this gorgeous girl is now safe and sound in a foster home in Kallangur, QLD, dreaming of her happily ever after.

Ruby, a stunning all-white beauty with a button-black nose, is what we affectionately call a "mystery mix" – maybe a dash of Kelpie smarts, a pinch of Staffy sweetness, and a whole lot of love. She's medium-sized, bursting with energy, and ready to add a whole heap of fun to your life.

Now, here's a funny little secret: when Ruby first arrived, she was convinced she was expecting! A full-blown phantom pregnancy - Bless her little heart. ❤️

Our vet wisely suggested we hold off on her desexing until her hormones settle down. So, in a few weeks (at The Village's expense, of course), she'll be going in for her official "not a mum" procedure. 😉

In the meantime, rest assured, Ruby is vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm-treated, and has a clean bill of health (heartworm negative). She's ready to play, and does she ever want to play!

Energy Level: This girl loves to zoom and needs a good-sized yard to stretch those legs. She's a fetch fanatic and will chase a ball until the cows come home.

Training Potential: Ruby is a quick learner, eager to please, and just wants to make you happy. She'll thrive with positive training and consistent guidance.

Social Butterfly: Ruby welcomes visitors with a wagging tail and a happy smile. She's dog-friendly and loves making new friends.

Cuddle Monster: After a good play session, Ruby loves nothing more than snuggling up for some cuddles.

Loyal Companion: She quickly tunes into people's energy and loves being by your side.

Solo Time: She seems to cope okay when left alone for a few hours.

In a nutshell, Ruby needs:

A good-sized yard for zoomies.

An owner committed to training and providing her with lots of love and attention.

Ruby would suit various households, but she needs to go to a home that has the time to make sure she gets lots of exercise. She is so sweet, funny and loyal, she will repay you tenfold.
