About Romey
Romey is a super friendly, playful, and affectionate pug who loves nothing more than a game of chase in the park, a swim, or a cuddle on the couch. He is incredibly gentle with children, adults, and other dogs, making him a perfect companion for families and individuals alike.
If you’re not paying attention to him, he’ll gently pat your hand to remind you he’s there and he loves listening to stories—he tilts his head and listens intently as if he understands every word!
Unlike many pugs, Romey isn’t overly obsessed with food, but he’s always up for a treat after a fun day of adventures! He loves going on outings and gets super excited when he sees his leash.
Romey’s Ideal Home
🏡 A family with plenty of time to spend with him and ideally another dog to keep him company.
🐶 Someone who enjoys regular outings—Romey thrives on fun activities!
💖 A home that understands the special care needs of pugs including:
🌡️ Keeping Cool – Pugs are prone to overheating due to their short noses. They should always have access inside always, and it’s important to avoid excessive heat and exercise during hot weather.
🧼 Cleaning Facial Folds – Romey’s cute wrinkles need regular cleaning to prevent dirt buildup and infections. A gentle wipe every day will help keep his face fresh!
Romey’s Energy Level
🐾 Full of energy and always ready to play, but he’s also happy to relax if nothing is going on.
🎾 Loves park adventures and exploring new places but is equally content snuggling at home.
Romey’s Suitability with Others
👶 Perfect with children—gentle, affectionate, and always ready for playtime.
🐶 Great with other dogs—friendly and social, though he hasn't been tested with cats.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
