NOTE: You are unable to meet Bruce until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Bruce in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.


What I need in my new home:
• Regular walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• I arrived at the shelter as a stray so my history is unknown. Due to this, my interaction with cats that are free roaming in the house or yard is completely unknown. There can be no guarantee that I will be ok living with cats, so it is recommended that I don't go to a home that has them.
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• I am a little rotund so will need a family that will help me get back in to tip top shape!
• Lots of love and attention
• I don't mind saying hi to other dogs when out and about but I would prefer to be an ONLY dog at home as i can get jealous of my possessions around them
• I am just the biggest cutie patootie that deserves my forever lounge with all the Netflix & (healthy) snacks.

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Cats or small animals as I may find them fun to chase

My best features:
• I am the most loveable little potato, I am your typical happy chappy Staffy who is always sporting the biggest grin and just want to be in your skin
• I Love to have a play but then I also enjoy being a couch potato
• Wiggle butt
• Highly food motivated
• I can sit
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I LOVE toys, playing fetch and a game of tug-o-war
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches
• Love to snooze on the couch

Where I need to improve / Training required:
• I am VERY pushy at doors & gates and will try and barge past you if you try to go out a door/gate without me, further training with positive reinforcement should help this
• I can pull on the lead initially when I am excited but walk well once settled, it is recommended that I walk in a harness to prevent pressure on my chonky little throat
• Further socialization with other dogs is recommended, I will pull towards them to say hi but can be quite in their face and I will retaliate if they are reactive or dominant
