About Butterscotch Pudding
Butterscotch Pudding, the resilient superdog! Despite being found at the local pound at 9 years old, Pudding is full of spark and zest - you won't find a dog who just loves to live and loves to love more than our Pudding. Don't let her age fool you - she is a terrier mix, which means she is still full of beans that shows in her endless tail wags and bouncy steps as she follows you everywhere. Pudding is the perfect mix of chill and fun, and will adapt to your needs - you want to go for a bush walk? She's in! How about a leisurely stroll around the neighbourhood? Yes please! What if you're in the mood to Netflix and chill on the couch? Again, a resounding yes, as long as there's cuddles involved.
Butterscotch's Ideal Home: I would love a home where I can be the centre of attention! I absolutely love and thrive in human company - Physical Touch is my love language. I am adaptable, and could go to different types of homes (e.g., families, couples with no children, retirees) as long as you can promise me lots of scratchies, cuddles, and daily walks. I am super quick at picking up routines as long as you show me the way.
My energy level: I love love love going for my daily walks! As soon as you head towards that front door, I'll be right by your feet, enthusiastically running circles around you in anticipation for another sniffy adventure. I'll take anything, be it a 20-minute stroll around the block/neighbourhood, or a 2-hour walk in the bush - I'm not fussy. After I've had my fill of all the good sniffs, you'll find me on the couch, belly up, ready for those scratchies. I also love learning! If you are able to do some tricks training with me, I promise to show you how smart I am!
My suitability to children: I haven't met any children during my time in my foster home, but I reckon I would do well with most kids, as long as they were gentle with me. I am a submissive dog (belly up, tail tucked in) when I am in an uncomfortable situation with humans so having adults that can advocate for my space is a must if there are very young children.
My suitability to other dogs and cats: I can be a little socially awkward with other dogs - I am definitely interested in them, but then don't really know what to do when I actually meet them, which can lead to less-than-desirable greetings. Because I'm a mature lady, I'm also not into bouncy, bolshy, loud dogs that invade my personal space. This means no dog parks or busy places with lots of dogs for me please! In saying that, I'm currently co-existing peacefully with my foster sister who also likes her space, so could do well with another calm, laid back dog who can show me the ropes when it comes to dog communication. I would also be perfectly happy as a solo dog getting all the attention at home.
As for cats, no thank you! I don't think I like them, and I'm pretty sure the feeling's mutual.
Butterscotch Pudding is a fun little dog with a big personality. Surprisingly, for a terrier mix, she's very quiet with minimal barking. She's an easy dog to live with and love, has shown no signs of separation anxiety, and is super responsive to positive reinforcement - she loves it when she does something right and is rewarded with a treat! She's toilet trained, as long as there is outdoor access. She would be the perfect sidekick to most people - could it be you?
