About Liz
Meet Liz, a sweet, cuddly, and affectionate little puppy with a heart full of love and an inspiring zest for life. Despite having a heart condition, Liz embraces each day with the boundless enthusiasm and innocence that only a puppy can bring. Her kind spirit and gentle nature make her an instantly endearing presence in any home.
Liz is a part of a special duo, being closely bonded with her brother, Max. Max is blind and partially deaf, but Liz, with her naturally nurturing disposition, forms an integral part of his support system. Their bond is a testament to the power of companionship and resilience, and anyone who brings them into their home will witness the incredible ways they communicate and support each other.
For those looking to add twice the love and twice the joy to their household, Liz and Max promise to fill your days with laughter and cuddles. Liz’s ability to thrive despite her heart condition and her unwavering devotion to Max speaks volumes about the strength of her character. Together, they make the perfect pairing for a nurturing home eager to give them the care and affection they both deserve. If you're ready to experience the joy of being loved by this heartwarming duo, Liz and Max are waiting to meet you!
Medical notes
Liz appears to have a patent ductus arteriosis- PDA. This is a life threatening heart disease. She has not had a cardiac ultrasound to determine the exact condition or prognosis. Ultrasound and surgery would be in the vicinity of 10k through a specialist. We are not able to move forward with the surgery so have not done the ultrasound. She has a 6/6 heart murmur. Without the surgery she will most likely go into heart failure in 1-2 years.
If she does not have surgery she has a normal life until she goes into heart failure. Once she is in heart failure she can be medicated to increase her life expectancy which is at that time roughly 6 months.
