About Merigold
*In foster care in Westmead, Sydney*
Sweet and affectionate in nature, Merigold is a true golden boy - and once he warms up to you, he'll be your best friend forever!
Much like his namesake, he tends to observe and assess before joining the fray of kitten play with pure joy. He's a genuine snuggle bug, weaving through your legs and rubbing his face up against you for a quick smooch, before romping away for a tussle and tail-chasing session with his siblings :)
Merigold is a huge fan of his tunnel, and of the toys that hang off them, which he uses to drag the whole tunnel around to proudly show you what a good hunter he's been!
A gentle and calm old soul in a kitten’s body, darling Merigold needs a family who'll shower him with cuddles but also spend loads of time playing with him. He requires plenty of stimulating interactive play, especially while he's a kitten (and likely beyond!).
Like all Maggie's pets, Merigold is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will be on the quieter side, please. I'd love to have kitty pals to hang out with, or humans who are home often so I can manage their schedules for them with my intelligently timed naps.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Though I'm probably more laid-back than your average kitten, I'm not exactly a couch potato! I especially love pouncing on my siblings through the tunnel - planning my attack carefully before making my move. I'm pleased to say that I've got the highest success rate in catching my quarry!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Kids who know how to be kind and gentle with cats sound great to me :)
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I'd love to have some feline friends in my new home!
Not so sure about dogs - but maybe I could be convinced, if we take it slow and I have safe places to retreat to while we get to know each other.

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
