About Xena
Meet Xena, a sweet-natured and slightly goofy young pup born around 29 October 2024. With a mix of breeds, including American Staffordshire Terrier, Mastiff, and Wolfhound, tempered by Toy Fox Terrier and Koolie genes, Xena is a truly unique canine companion. Check out her DNA results in this profile for more information.
Although she still has some growing to do, she's not going to be as big as her breed mix suggests.
Xena’s life journey began with a difficult start. When she was six weeks old, she was found with a broken leg on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere.
Now fully recovered and thriving in her rural foster home, Xena has blossomed into an easy-going, loving, and affectionate youngster with an undeniable zest for life. Her puppy nature is infectious and you feel good just being around her. Although she's not a leader by nature, she's ready to join in games with her canine mates and human foster family. Her endearing puppy clumsiness will bring a smile to your face, as will her gentle affection.
For families looking for a dog-friendly companion, Xena is an ideal fit. She gets along famously with other dogs and would thrive in an environment where she has space to explore and canine companions to play with. Her enthusiasm make her better suited to families with older kids rather than little ones. As with any growing puppy, she would benefit from consistent reinforcement and ongoing training to embed her good manners.
Though Xena hasn’t had the chance to meet any feline friends, her adaptable and friendly nature suggests she may adjust with proper introductions.
Creating a routine that includes basic training, socialization, and lots of cuddles will help Xena become a cherished member of your family.
If you’re ready for a journey that promises companionship, laughter, and plenty of cuddles, Xena is all set to meet her new person or family—could that be you?
As always, secure fencing is essential. Xena is not suited to solitary life in the backyard and would do best if she is an integral member of a loving family.
