About Bill
This extremely special man is Bill and we cannot wait for one lucky family to find him as he is seriously one of a kind. Bill came to us from a rural NSW facility as a very friendly, but scared and overwhelmed pup. Thankfully he landed with an awesome foster carer who also happens to be a dog trainer and he has transformed into the most amazing dog anyone could ask for.
Bill’s foster carer lives part time in the country on acreage and part time in Bondi Beach which means he has been exposed to a range of living situations and environments. On the farm, he enjoys romping around the fields with the many other dogs there or snuggling up on the couch in the evenings. While in Bondi, he loves nothing more than hitting the strip and going for a swim at Coogee- and yes he does really swim, Bill loves to leap from the rocks into the waves and enjoy a dip with his foster mum.
This handsome chap is incredibly friendly and very affectionate. He is always up for a snuggle and he is very fond of resting his head on your shoulders to ensure you feel all the love. He has been exposed to a range of people, including children and he has been great with all of them. He has built up so much confidence out and about and has been to many different places and experienced lots of new things. His new owners should be happy to continue his exposure to new places, people and things in a positive manner and be able to continue to show Bill all the wonders of the world as this boy loves adventure.
When Bill arrived into care a scared pup, he was introduced to the farm pack and enjoyed learning from them and playing with them. He initially was a bit scared of seeing some dogs while on leash in Sydney and would let out an insecure bark at the odd dog, but this is all in his past now thanks to his dedicated carer. He now loves all dogs of different ages and sizes and thoroughly enjoys playing or relaxing with his doggy pals. His new owners should be confident dog handlers to ensure he continues on this trajectory and has opportunities to socialise with other known, friendly dogs especially as he settles into his new family. He can either be rehomed as an only dog or with other dogs, he doesn’t mind as long as someone is home more often than not during his settling in period.
Bill has been brushing up on his training and is now an excellent family member at home. He understands basic commands, is quiet at home, toilet and crate trained and walks nicely on leash. His carer has put a lot of time into his training and he is very easy going to have around. He loves human companionship and can tend to follow you around, so his carer has been working on ensuring he is happy to relax out of sight of humans when they are home which he is excelling at. Bill travels perfectly in the car and was such a good boy at his vet appointment. His new owners should be happy to continue his training as he is still young and would benefit from continued education - luckily he loves engaging with his people so this is his idea of fun!
Bill is just a friendly, goofy love bug who has so much love to give. He will suit a range of environments as he is easy going, but we are really looking for doggy experienced people who live a life full of adventure and fun as he has loved getting to explore the world with his current carer. He is not high energy, but will keep up with whatever you have in store for the day which is a huge bonus. He is more than happy to snooze away the day as long as he gets a good outing in and some cuddles or play. He will need to be allowed inside to be included as part of the family and provided a good quality diet.
If you would like to make this incredibly handsome and sweet boy a permanent member of your family, then please fill in an adoption enquiry application from our Fetching Dogs website as the next step in the process. Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
