About Roxy
Roxy is an adorable 4-year-old tabby and white domestic short hair with a heart of gold.
She's a gentle soul who thrives in a calm and quiet environment, making her the perfect companion for a family with older kids. Roxy loves to curl up on a windowsill and enjoy the sunset, and her playful side comes alive with a toy mouse to chase around.
Roxy is independent yet affectionate. She enjoys pats and attention and appreciates a cozy, clean space to call her own. Her ideal home would include a well-stocked food and water station, as well as a clean litter tray to keep her happy and comfortable.
Roxy would love to have another cat around, so if you already have a feline friend in your home, she would likely get along just fine. Currently residing in one of our communal cat rooms at the shelter, she's patiently waiting for a loving family to adopt her and offer her the forever home she deserves.
In return for your care, Roxy will be your most loyal feline friend, offering companionship and affection as only a cat can. If you're looking for a sweet and loving companion, Roxy might just be the perfect match for you!
Please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au to book a meet and greet with Roxy. Due to the high volume of emails received, Inquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
