About Kairo
Meet Kairo, a lovable 2-year-old Labrador who is ready to bounce into a new, forever home! Recently surrendered to BARC, Kairo is now looking for a special person or family who can give him the time, love, and attention he needs to thrive.
Kairo is a sweet and silly boy with an eager-to-please attitude. He's already proven himself to be a quick learner, so he's ready to impress with his skills. Social and friendly, he gets along fabulously with other dogs, making him the perfect companion for an active household with other furry friends.
While Kairo has loads of energy and enthusiasm, he's not suited for homes with children younger than 10 or frail older adults due to his active nature. However, with the right person, he'll become a loyal and joyful companion. He's a bit of a clown and will keep you entertained with his daily antics!
A fan of water and balls, Kairo is fit and full of energy-he'll happily join you in any outdoor activity and might even become your personal trainer. If you're someone who loves the idea of formal obedience training or agility courses, Kairo is the perfect candidate. He's clever and will likely take home the gold ribbons in no time with minimal effort on your part!
If you're looking for a fun-loving, active, and intelligent companion who is eager to learn, Kairo could be the perfect fit. Come meet him today and see for yourself why this charming boy is ready to make your life a whole lot more fun!
To book a meet and greet with Kairo please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, inquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
