About Bailey
Bailey, an 8-year-old senior tabby domestic medium-haired cat, is a gentle soul in search of a calm, loving home.
This sweet girl thrives in a peaceful environment, ideally without kids. She enjoys quiet moments, such as lounging on a windowsill to watch the sunset, chasing a toy mouse, and having food and water available whenever she pleases. Bailey appreciates affection, offering you loyalty and companionship in return. As you can see in her photo, Bailey does have an old injury to one of her eyes that has healed perfectly, but does mean that one of her pupils is now distorted and larger than the others, however this special girl does not let it effect her day to day life.
Bailey's ideal family would be those who are looking for a loving and serene companion.
If you already have another cat, Bailey would be happy to share her space with them, as she's currently living in a communal cat room and enjoys the company of others.
If you think you could be the special people Bailey is waiting for, you'll find that she will become your most devoted feline friend. Come meet this delightful girl and see how much love she has to give.
Please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au to book a meet and greet with Bailey. Due to the high volume of emails received, Inquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
