About Norbit - 9 Week Cattle Dog X
Charming “Norbit”, the most loveable and sweet-natured little guy you will meet. At just 9 weeks old, he’s already the perfect mix of fun energy and calm affection, making him an ideal companion for any loving home.
Currently, Norbit shares his foster home with an 18-month-old Golden Retriever and two cats, and he’s already a total pro at getting along with everyone! He has been respectful of the resident cats and knows when to give them space. While he takes great comfort from having another adult dog to show him the ropes, and this would be ideal, he would also be content being the only dog in the household, as long as you’re home often and he gets plenty of love and attention. He’s a big fan of snuggling and enjoys being by your side, following you around, and being part of the action.
Norbit is fantastic with kids and teenagers, so he would thrive in a family environment. Keep in mind he does have little puppy teeth, so kids need to be supervised of course. In saying that, he would also do well with someone home often, who will include Norbit in their life, whether it is lounging around at home, going for walks or playing at the park.
Norbit will need a home with a secure puppy-proof yard where he can play, explore, and soak up the sunshine. He’s going to be a medium to large-sized dog, so a spacious and outdoor area will be key to his happiness. He needs to be welcomed inside when you’re home, and to sleep inside at night where he can feel safe and cozy and part of your family.
This clever pup is a quick learner, and no doubt will pick up things easily. Being a puppy, he will need a committed owner who can continue his training, including sleeping and toilet training, and provide him with all the attention, love and enrichment he deserves. Despite his young age, Norbit is an easy-going guy mixed with playfulness and love. He’s adaptable and picks up on cues from both pets and people, making him an ideal fit for any home who can show him the same love back!
Norbit is learning to toilet on the grass in the day and on a pee pad inside at night. As with all puppies we recommend puppy preschool to help your puppy be his best. Norbit’s sisters Nelly and Neive are also available for adoption to their own forever families.
Norbit’s adoption fee is $700 which includes his desexing when he is old enough. It also includes his first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms and is microchipped.
Norbit is in foster care in New Lambton, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. He'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when he's 5 to 6 months old.
