Meet little Chihuahua x weighing in at just 4 kilos . the sweet little boy we have named “ Miguel.
Miguel is the sweetest, cuddliest little shadow a person could ever ask for.
Most of the time he is a lazy, snoozy cuddle bug but he also has his bursts of energy, play and zoomies. Occasionally interested in soft toys, but mostly wants to just jump around with a playful person. His favourite way to spend the day is doing whatever you’re doing - if you’re on the couch he will want to be on a cushion next to you but if you’re moving around the house then so is he.

While he can take a short while to warm up to new people, he hasn’t shown any aggression towards any human he’s met and can just be a little shy at first. He absolutely adored the older children that he has met. Once Miguel knows you he is literally the biggest snuggle bug who will smother you with love 24.7
Miguel gets along well with his two (much larger) canine foster siblings and shows only a small amount of interest and a healthy level of wariness for the two cats he has been living with. In fairness, both of these cats are bigger than he is!! He was at first aggressive towards one new dog that he met, but after about 5 minutes of supervised introduction he was then completely fine.

He can be nervous of new experiences at first but with the right encouragement he adapts quickly and fits right into his surroundings.
Training is a work in progress - he sleeps through the night with no accidents but hasn’t worked out that he should ask to go outside, instead subtly leaving the room to do his business. When taken outside at regular intervals though, accidents are minimal.
Only new to walking on a lead and this has been going okay but needs more work to build his confidence.
Little wee Miguel has already learnt to sit and has taken to this with absolute excitement to the point of he is now obsessed with showing you how clever he is lol
When it comes to bedtime, Miguel’s favourite place would be on his human’s bed where he loves to burrow and snuggle up under his own little blanket and sleep through the night.

With regards to food, Miguel is always a fan of a treat but is quite picky when it comes to meal time and it has taken quite a few different attempts to find something he likes and only eats small amounts at a time. ( Suck A Chih lol )

Miguel doesn’t love being left outside alone - he doesn’t bark but he will stare through the window longingly and intermittently scratch waiting to be let in. While not requiring constant attention, he prefers to know that someone is nearby. His ideal family will have someone that will be with him most of the time and would like a companion throughout their day. He would be fine living with another dog or cat but would absolutely suit being in a one pet household too.
Adoption Criteria
A secure yard with grass, shade, and shelter is essential, and a doggie door for easy access to the indoors, where he loves to snuggle, is a must. Miguel would thrive in a family willing to help him continue building confidence
Another dog in the home would be fine but they must be lind and gentle
Children in the home are fine but we seek mature dog savvy gentle children as he is a very small boy
