About Hunter
Handsome Hunter is hoping to find himself a shepherd-experienced owner!
Hunter is very much a one-person kind of dog. He is quite suspicious of new people, and prefers to stick to his very exclusive circle of close human friends. So far during his time at the shelter, he does seem to be more comfortable with females.
It does take Hunter some time to warm up to new people, and he will require potential adopters to visit him at the shelter multiple times before going home, but once he chooses his person, Hunter is extremely loyal and loves nothing more than to be by their side.
After his favourite person, toys and tennis balls are a close second. Hunter loves to play fetch and is also a big foodie, which provides lots of opportunity for training and enrichment.
Hunter will require an adult-only home with no other pets. His owners will also need to keep in mind that they’ll need to be selective when choosing where to walk Hunter, as while he is okay to be around other people and dogs, he doesn’t appreciate when they come into his personal space.
If you would like to meet Hunter, please fill out the application form linked below and email it to enquiries@bluecrossanimals.org.au
