About Alfred
Hi! I'm Alfred and I'm looking for a new family to call my own.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR ALFRED
PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW APPLICATION FORM
https://forms.gle/EGMhJ1bvWHvv42Zh7
NOTE: You are unable to meet Alfred until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Alfred in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.
What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family and not left outside 24/7 with no interaction.
• A doggy companion would be great but if not lots of socialisation with other dogs.
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a must
• I am a clever, young and active doggo - I would be great for dog training, trick training, agility etc.
• I appeared scared of cats when meeting them at the shelter however once my confidence around them grows I might be more inquisitive. If going to a home with a cat they must be dog savvy and we must be introduced slowly.
• TRAINING TRAINING TRAINING. It's ESSENTIAL I receive training in all aspects of my life so I can be the best dog I can be when I'm older.
My best features:
• Very playful
• Wiggle butt
• Highly food motivated
• I can sit
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• Happy to hang out with friendly dogs
• Social butterfly
• I am clever and eager to learn so would love a family who will teach me some cool tricks.
• Love to snooze on the couch
• Exuberant & full of beans
• I love toys especially my ball, playing fetch and tug rope
• I LOVE the water and playing with the hose
Where I need to improve / Training required:
• I will need to learn how to not pull on lead but I am super food motivated so training should be a breeze.
• I can be a bit bouncy -training should stop this
Medical notes
Alfred has had foreleg pain in past which in large dogs can be associated with elbow dysplasia, no evidence today or for past months, recommend monitoring for any lameness in the future - NO recommendations as of now.
