About Ruby
Meet Ruby, affectionately known as Rubes, a delightful 5.5-year-old Staffy x Kelpie. Ruby's journey has been one of resilience and strength, and she’s now ready to find her new family who will appreciate her sweet nature and shower her with the love she truly deserves.
This beautiful girl is a bit shy but is gradually coming out of her shell, thanks to her deep affection for humans. While Ruby might take a little time to feel comfortable, she has a heart full of love to give and a waggy tail that brightens the room. She relishes calm, cozy environments and feels more at ease in spaces that aren’t too large or crowded, making her an ideal companion for serene households. You will often find Ruby laying in her clam pool filled with water.
Ruby’s temporary foster care experience has shown her ability to coexist peacefully with cats, which would make her a welcome addition to a home with feline friends. But just like any new friend a gradual interaction is best. She’s healthy and well-prepared for her new chapter, being microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, and desexed.
If you are looking for a loyal and loving companion who will truly appreciate your kindness and empathy, Ruby promises to be a wonderful addition to a nurturing and understanding home.

Adoption details
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the BCDR Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal.
We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applications may meet the dogs. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the dog at your home or in a public place. If you have other animals they should please be at the meet.
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following: real estate approval, fence repair if needed, outside shelter areas and look into the dog's breed dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed.
*Same gender adoptions will not be considered. Same sex aggression is something at BCDR we will avoid. *
