About Skurrt
Meet Skurt, a lovable, affectionate giant who's ready to find his forever home! This 6-year-old, 6 kg bundle of joy is like a small grey panther - regal, yet incredibly sweet and gentle. Skurt is currently at BARC and is looking for a special home where he can truly shine.
When he's not lounging in his favorite windowsill, watching the world go by, Skurt will be your loyal companion, offering warmth and comfort. Imagine having him curl up with you as your personal "weighted blanket," keeping you safe and cozy while you sleep.
He may be independent at times, but when he's ready for attention, he'll be right there with all the love and affection you could ask for.
Skurt is probably best suited for a home with no children, as he enjoys his quiet moments and prefers adult company.
If you're looking for a calm, independent cat who knows how to relax and bring you comfort, Skurt might just be the perfect match for you. Don't miss out on the chance to welcome this sweet, gentle giant into your life!
To book a meet and greet with this gorgeous cat please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, Inquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
