About Polly
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- Children over the age of 12
- A family situation where people are home more often than not OR a doggie companion
Meet Polly (Polly Wally) - a sweet, easy-going, girl with the cutest little overbite!
Polly is a small, affectionate girl who's been thriving in in her foster home and is ready to find her forever family!
Polly walks beautifully on a lead and enjoys her daily 30-minute walks. Like most greyhounds, Polly's energy comes in bursts, and she loves a quicky zoomie around the yard. Once she’s had her exercise Polly is happy to laze around the house and chill out of the rest of the day. She's the queen of roaching and never ceases to her amaze with her crazy sleeping positions. While she’s still learning to play with toys, she’s catching on quickly and puts her overbite to good use, nibbling at them all!
Polly loves people of all ages, but can become a little boisterous when she gets excited, so she may be better suited to a family with older children. She’s very social and will need a doggie friend in her forever home. Polly gets on well with dogs of all sizes and of course, fellow greyhounds. Polly’s foster family works from home, so she hasn’t spent much time alone during the day. Because of her social nature, Polly prefers either a home where people are home more often than not or a doggie companion to keep her company.
Polly travels well in the car; she’s a calm traveler who lays down the whole time. Polly’s not fazed by neighborhood noise, vacuums, or other everyday household sounds. She’s a confident girl who takes new experiences in stride, so she’s sure to adapt well to whatever her new family throws her way.
If you’re looking for a friendly, affectionate, companion, with a goofy personality, Polly is ready to bring joy into your life.
With a cozy bed and some fun toys, Polly will be right at home with you!
[Note: Under Victorian Law greyhounds must be on-leash at all times in public areas, including in off-leash parks or ovals]
