About Sox (Nexie)
Meet Sox – The Bouncy Bundle of Fun!
📍 Located in Perth | In foster care with her current family
Sox is a playful, friendly and affectionate young pup who’s had a great start to life, but due to no fault of her own, she’s looking for a new home. Her current family has made the difficult decision to rehome her as their older resident dog hasn’t adjusted to sharing space with a younger, high-energy pup despite careful introductions. Sox’s wellbeing is the priority, and she deserves a home where she can thrive.
This energetic girl loves to run, track scents, and proudly parade around with her toys. One of her cutest quirks? She offers a paw to shake whenever there might be food involved it's her signature move!
Sox is used to a home environment, is toilet trained to go on grass, and has been sleeping in a crate overnight. Like many pups her age, she's still teething and loves a good chew, so ongoing guidance and access to chew toys will help her channel that puppy energy. She knows basic commands like sit, stay, come, wait, and shake and she's keen to learn more, especially if food is on offer!
She enjoys human company, has been friendly with other dogs (though her enthusiastic play style means she'd suit a tolerant canine companion), and is great with people of all ages. A home where she won’t be left alone all day and will have plenty of stimulation and affection would be ideal.
🐶 What Sox needs:
A loving, committed home that understands puppy behaviour
A family who can continue her training and provide regular exercise
Someone who is happy to guide her through adolescence and help her thrive
A dog-savvy home if there is another dog, as Sox is very playful and occasionally nibbles paws in play
Sox is still with her current family, but once we receive your adoption application, we can help arrange a meet and greet. Being in a home environment means we already know so much about her needs and personality!

I CAN FLY TO PERTH!
Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to Perth.
4 THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE APPLYING:
1. Time Commitment: Owning a dog is a big responsibility and requires a significant commitment of time and energy. Be sure to consider how much time you can realistically dedicate to caring for a dog and make sure you are prepared to make that commitment.
2. Cost: Owning a dog can be expensive. Make sure to consider the cost of food, medical care, toys, and other supplies. You may also want to think about enrolling your dog in obedience classes or hiring a professional dog walker.
3. Space: Depending on the breed, some dogs require a lot of space. Make sure you have enough room in your home and yard to accommodate a dog before making the decision to adopt.
4. Lifestyle: Think about your current lifestyle and how a dog may fit into it. Consider if you have any restrictions such as travel, work hours, or allergies. Also, think about how owning a dog may affect your social life.
NOTES:
Adoption fee includes vet check, first vaccination*, flea and worm treatment, microchipping and sterilisation at a SAFE approved vet at 6 months of age.
