"I am Merida, and I'll be shooting for my own hand... or at least, a tasty treat!"

If you’re looking for a brave yet gentle soul to join your family, then look no further—I’m Merida! Just like the fierce princess I’m named after, I’m slowly discovering my courage in this big, exciting world. I might be a little shy at times, but with a kind, patient family by my side, I know I’ll continue to blossom into the confident, loving pup I’m meant to be.

I love playing with other dogs and really look to them for guidance, so I’d be happiest in a home with a furry friend who can show me the ropes. My doggy pals make me feel safe, and we spend our days playing, exploring, and snuggling up for naps. At night, I curl up peacefully in my crate where I feel secure.

I have recently met cats and I have a feeling we could be great friends with continued introductions. I did once meet some strange squawky creatures called Guinea Fowl… and, well, they flapped and flailed and gave me quite the surprise! 😅

If you sit down beside me, I’ll happily climb into your lap for a snuggle. I’m learning to trust more every day, and I’m already desexed and fully healed—ready for my next adventure!

Walks are a work in progress. Leashes are still a bit of a mystery (and great fun to chew!), but I’m learning slowly, especially when treats are involved. I love soft squeaky toys, a good tug-of-war session, and quiet cuddles after playtime.

I may be on the quieter side, but I’ve got so much love to give and a brave little heart that’s ready to find her forever family. “Our fate lives within us. You only have to be brave enough to see it.” 💙
