About Bear - 8 Year Old Tenterfield Terrier
Meet Bear – A Beautiful and Affectionate Tenterfield Terrier! He is 8 years old and weighing in at 5.5kg of pure love and energy.
Despite his challenging past, he’s a well-behaved and playful boy who still has plenty of spunk. Bear loves running around the garden with his toys, and every new experience is a thrilling adventure for him as he fully embraces his newfound freedom.
Having spent much of his life in a cage, Bear is now discovering the world and making remarkable progress. He’s a cuddly, affectionate dog who adores giving kisses and snuggling with his humans. Bear is also a non-barker, which means you’ll have a calm, quiet companion in the home.
Currently, Bear is working on basic commands and toilet training, both of which are progressing well. He’s also steadily improving on the lead – although he’s still learning, he’s showing great promise. Bear is a playful, easygoing boy who thrives with a little guidance and training. He’s eager to please and would love a family who can continue supporting his growth and development.
We are looking for a home where Bear can be the center of attention, ideally as the only dog or with small relaxed female dog. While he is still learning how to interact with other dogs, he responds well to slow introductions and is well-behaved on walks.
Bear would do best with a family who is home often, offering the love, attention, and consistent training he needs to reach his full potential. He feels safest when he can sleep inside with his family, as it provides him with the security he craves.
Bear’s Ideal Home:
- Affectionate, easygoing, and well-behaved boy.
- Best suited for homes with children over 10 years old.
- Non-barker – a calm and quiet companion.
- Preferred as the only dog, but can go with small relaxed female dog subject to meet and greet
- Tested and fine with birds.
- Must be allowed to sleep inside.
If you’re ready to offer Bear the loving, supportive home he deserves, he’s ready to fill your life with cuddles, kisses, and endless love!
Bear is desexed, has had a dental, is vaccinated, microchipped, and is up to date with all treatments. He is currently in foster care at Swansea Heads and is ready to find his forever home. Bear’s adoption fee is $500.
