About Leia
Introducing Leia: An 8 Year old gentle & affectionate Sealpoint Ragdoll!
We received an urgent call from a university about a heartbreaking situation - an owner had brought in their cat, intending to have her euthanised due to so-called "behavioural issues." We immediately asked the university to have the owner contact us, and thankfully, they did. The story we got from them was different from what they had told the university, but none of that matters now. What truly matters is that Leia is safe with us and has got her chance at her Ninth Life.
And let us be clear - Leia DOES NOT have behavioural issues. From the moment she arrived, she has been nothing but an absolute sweetheart. She was understandably a little scared at first, overwhelmed by the unfamiliar environment, but she quickly blossomed into the affectionate, loving girl she truly is.
Every time you step into her room, Leia greets you with joy, rolling over for pats and soaking up every bit of affection she can get. She loves being brushed, which is essential to keeping her gorgeous long coat soft and tangle-free. She is a gentle, gorgeous soul who just wants a home where she is cherished, safe, and adored.
Leia has previously lived with other cats, so with a slow and careful introduction, she could happily join a home with feline companions. She has also lived with children and would be well-suited to a family with gentle children who respect her space.
If you're looking for a devoted, affectionate companion who will fill your home with love and warmth, Leia is waiting for you.

Adoption details
You need to be a pretty special cat person to adopt an elderly cat into your home. Not as sprightly as a kitten they still require your attention…even devotion. You’ll need to understand their daily routines and take some time to get to know them. Help them with grooming – a great way to bond- as they often don’t have the energy to do it properly themselves. Older cats are stress averse so be patient, observant and take a little more care of their health needs and you’ll soon have a loving companion.
All our cats have received a full health & wellness check and are ready for their new home.
If you are interested in adopting one of our furry friends please either call 4314 6654 or contact info@ninthlifefoundation.org.
