About Opal
Meet Opal! This sweet mama cat was sadly found abandoned in a box with her five kittens on Boxing Day. Fortunately, a kind-hearted member of the community discovered her and reached out for help. Since then, Opal has been nothing short of a sweetheart. She is gentle, affectionate, and loves being picked up once she feels comfortable and trusts you. Despite her tough start, Opal has a playful spirit and enjoys having fun just like any young cat! She gets along wonderfully with her foster family's cats, thriving in a multi-cat household. Opal will need a friendly cat companion that she can be with at all times. While she's still warming up to the resident dog, Opal is making great progress and adjusting at her own pace. Opal would thrive in a calm family household where she can feel safe and loved. She's ready to find her forever home, and she would make the perfect addition to any family looking for a loving, playful companion! Opal will need to remain indoors to protect her from the outside dangers. If you would like to meet Opal, please speak to the friendly team at PETstock Tuggerah!

Adoption details
- You contact us to obtain an adoption application and discuss the animal of interest.
Once the application is completed and returned it will be assessed for suitability. We will also ask for rental agreements or rates and photos of your home. Please also include photos of your fencing .
- A meet and greet with the dog and all members of the adopting family and current dogs are arranged where possible.
This usually coincides with a yard check, to ensure the safety and security of the property on which the dog will be kept. - we understand that this is not always possible in interstate adoptions and this will be discussed on your initial contact.
- Payment of the adoption fee is made in one full payment. The dog is then handed over with any belongings, and all relevant paperwork and records. Please note we do have contracts in place that must be signed.
- Once the 14 day 'settling in' period has ended, the change of ownership microchip details are submitted to council and the adoption is officially finalised.
- For interstate adoptions- The adoptor must have a meet and greet with the animal they are adopting. We will not send an animal over without a meet. All transport costs including flights, will need to be paid in full by the adoptor.
- For cats, all adoptions take place at PETstock Tuggerah unless the profile states otherwise.
