About Puffin
Perfectly natured, playful and cuddly with adorable puppy rolls- there’s a lot to love about Puffin. She’s our golden teddy bear, so who isn’t going to fall head over heels for her?
This little girl is a confident and happy pup who loves her toys, playing with her foster sister and foster parents and snoozing in awkward positions. Puffin has been learning lots of new things in foster care and is now ready to find a home of her own.
Puffin is very people friendly and will never say no to any sort of attention from any human. She is confident meeting people out and about and really enjoyed having kids over for a get together. She is very affectionate, but not clingy and will happily entertain herself if you are busy. She has been loving exploring the big wide world and tackles new places with ease. She will need owners who will continue to slowly introduce her to new people, places and things to ensure she continues to grow into a lovely natured adult.
This sweet girl is very intelligent! She has been learning lots of new things while in care and as she is very food motivated training is a lot of fun. She has learnt basic commands such as sit, waiting for food and recalling to her name. She has started leash work, but does still need further guidance as any young pup would. She sleeps overnight without a peep in her crate and is toilet trained using the doggy door. Like any pup, she does find things to chew on she shouldn’t if she is left unsupervised, but she is generally a very easy puppy to have around. Being such a young puppy, her owners will need to be committed to ongoing training.
Puffin is currently living with another large breed dog and definitely enjoying having a friend to play with. She has met some other dogs during her time in care and has interacted well with all of them. Her foster carers think she would love a home with another dog, however have seen no reason why she can’t live as an only dog. Either way, as she is a young puppy she will need someone home more often than not. Her new owners will need to have the time and ability to continue her socialisation with other dogs in suitable situations such as play dates or group walks instead of dog parks where she could easily get overwhelmed.
Puffin will grow into a decent sized dog somewhere between 25-35kg and will have moderate exercise needs. She will need daily outings and opportunities to explore new fun places. She loves playing in the yard or snuggling on the couch so a home that allows her inside to be part of the family is a must. She is a very adaptable puppy with a great nature, so will suit most home types. She is fine to live with dog savvy kids and although she hasn’t met any cats, we feel with her sweet nature she will be fine to be integrated into a home with dog savvy cats with slow introductions.
If you think you could offer this lovely girl the forever home she deserves, please fill out a Dog Adoption Enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website and describe in detail your previous dog experience and the type of lifestyle you can offer Puffin.

This puppy will be adopted out under a desexing contract that will require the dog to be desexed by a given age. The cost of desexing will be included as part of the adoption fee. A $250 desexing bond will be payable in addition to the adoption fee and will be refunded upon proof of desexing. This process is further discussed with successful applicants.
Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
