Gus is a gentle soul, a 3-year-old male Greyhound x, who's been through a rough start in life. Despite his past, Gus has blossomed into a loving and laid-back companion, looking for a forever home where he can thrive.

Personality:

Gus is a social butterfly, adoring the company of other dogs! He's a calm and gentle giant, who walks beautifully on a leash and is toilet trained. This lazy, low-energy couch potato is happy to snooze the day away, making him perfect for a family with a busy schedule or a full-time worker.

Background:

Gus's past is marked by neglect and abandonment. He was surrendered to a rural pound, emaciated and scarred, and had to stay there for 8 weeks to regain his strength. His previous owner left him locked in a shed, only bringing him out to go hunting. Gus lived with a female dog who he loved and was very attached to, he misses her dearly.

Gus is eager to find a forever home with:

- A confident doggy friend to keep him company and provide companionship.
- A family who understands his past trauma and will provide patience, love, and care.
- A comfortable and cozy space to snooze the day away.

Gus has never lived with kids or elderly people as far as we know, but his gentle nature makes us feel that he could be suitable to live with them in the future. He has never met cats but he finds small animals very exciting so we suspect he would not be a suitable match for a cat friend.
