About Betty White
Betty White, the Golden Girl of the cattery, is everything you'd expect from a cat living up to her namesake!
With the calmness of a saint and the heart of gold, she's a cat who knows how to enjoy life and bring a little sunshine wherever she goes.
Betty's not afraid to seek out some affection when she wants it, but she also values her independence and can entertain herself just fine when she's left to her own devices.
She's the type of cat who "believes in love at first sight," especially when it comes to her forever family. Ideal for a home with kids over 10, Betty's calm, guiding spirit would be perfect for those who are looking for a feline friend who's full of wisdom and humor.
Her antics will have you "laughing out loud" in no time, as she finds ways to entertain and bring a bit of joy into your life.
And while Betty loves her quiet time, she's not shy about coming forward for some good old-fashioned affection, proving that she's got "a heart of gold." If you're looking for a steady and loving companion who brings both peace and laughter into your home, Betty White is your girl!
Please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au to book a meet and greet with Betty. Due to the high volume of emails received, Inquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
