About Baxter
Howdy, partners!
The word 'round the campfire is that Baxter's still lookin' for his forever ranch, and let me tell you, this ain't no ordinary dog.
Remember Baxter, formerly known as #159?
This fella finally made it out of that dusty old rural pound and is learnin' what it means to be loved in a foster home. He's traded in his saddle sores for belly rubs!
Now, Baxter here, he's about 12 months old and full of beans, like a fresh pot of cowboy coffee.
He's got the build of a Ridgeback mix, but with those long legs of his, folks are throwin' around ideas about Greyhound or maybe even a touch of Great Dane! Whatever he is, he's 100% purebred good boy.
They say he's a heart-stealer, and they ain't lyin'. Even the local vet couldn't resist his goofy charm. Why? Because Baxter's a walkin', tail-waggin' rodeo of fun!
Here's the lowdown on this lovable cowboy:
Personality: Picture a dog with a grin that could light up the whole darn prairie. Clumsy? Yep. Hilarious? You betcha! He's a sweet soul who loves to roughhouse with his foster doggy sisters, especially the bigger ones.
Doggy Do's and Don'ts: Baxter gets along great with the medium to large-sized dogs, can get a bit overwhelming for the smaller critters; he's full-on, wrestling kinda fella. Smaller dogs may feel like they're in a cattle stampede!
Coordination (or lack thereof): He's still figuring out those long legs, so expect a stumble or two. But hey, even cowboys fall off their horses sometimes!
Hobbies: Chasing anything and everything with the enthusiasm of a gold prospector. And he's even starting to bring 'em back now and then, like a well-trained ranch hand!
Ol' Lone Wolf Vibes: Sometimes Baxter acts like an "Only dog," sunbakin' in the garden, refusing to come inside with the other dogs, like a gunslinger choosing solitude.
Personal Space? What's Personal Space?: Get ready for a shadow. He'll follow you everywhere like a loyal deputy. Even bathroom breaks have an audience now, so you'll never ride the ol' porcelain pony alone.
Cat Relations: He lives with a sassy Ragdoll who's taught him about boundaries, like a grizzled sheriff teachin' a greenhorn the ropes. No aggression here, but any feline housemates need to be assertive. Baxter learns quick, especially when cat claws are involved!
Potty Training: This boy's a champion! He'll stand at the door like he's guarding the saloon to let you know it's "outside time."
Yard Life: Loves tearin' around the yard with his foster sister, kicking up dust like a wild mustang. A big, fenced-in yard is a must for this energetic fella, a proper homestead where he can roam.
Cuddle Monster: Loves snuggling in bed and on the couch, but also enjoys chillin' outdoors, takin' in the scenery, like a cowboy watching the sunset from his porch.
House Manners: He's no wrecking ball if you don't leave him alone for too long. Though he did have a little veggie patch incident. (He's a reformed veggie bandit thanks to his daily carrot routine). He also likes shoes (puppy antics).
Tail Power: His tail is legendary. It wags constantly and is a hazard to low-flying objects (especially coffee cups). Consider yourself warned! It's like a happy little lasso, ready to knock you off your feet.
Baxter is vaccinated, desexed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all his flea, tick, and worm treatments. His adoption fee is $595, and he's currently hanging out in Morayfield.
If you think you can offer this hilarious, lovable goofball his forever ranch, send us a detailed message telling us all about yourself and the amazing life he could share with you.
Get ready for endless laughter, a perpetually wagging tail, and a whole lot of love!
We can't wait to hear from you!
