Iko

This cheeky chap is looking for mature owners.

Iko is very distrustful of new people, and it takes him quite some time to begin to let his walls down. His ideal home situation would be just one person who has some experience with Arctic breeds. This person/people will need to be committed to coming to the shelter as many times as it takes (it will take quite a number of visits) to gain his trust.

Once he warms up, Iko loves to show off his lovable, goofy personality, often attempting to persuade you into some silly play or offering a friendly "woo". He does become quite cheeky once he gains some confidence, and can be a bit mouthy. We're positive that once you break through his tough exterior, being rewarded with Iko's wonderful personality will make all the visits worth it!

Iko will require an adult-only home, and is not suitable to live on a property with or near livestock or pocket pets. He may enjoy the company of another dog in his new home.
