About Hazel
Hazel requires the following in her new home:
- Slow introductions with people and other cats.
- Toys and scratching post and hidy cubes
- To be an inside only cat except if there is an outdoor cat enclosure.
- Not to be picked up and carried.
Hazel can be a little slow to realise you are her new best friend, but when you give her time to trust you, she will be putty in your hands. She loves to rub herself against you, receive bum scratches and to play with you. Hazel enjoys sleeping beside you or nearby while you watch TV of a night, she isn’t a fan of being picked up or laying on you. Hazel enjoys when she is approached slowly until she gets to know you and prefers when you speak in a baby voice. Loud deep voices along with dogs parking can make her feel a little nervous. Hazel can be slightly timid when meeting new cats so slow introductions would be needed, she does warm up quickly and then enjoys their company. Hazel is trained to use the litter box. Hazel needs to be an inside only cat with the exception on an outdoor cat enclosure.
*The breed is to the best of our knowledge from the information we've been given.*
*PLEASE read the ‘profile’ thoroughly before enquiring in detail.*
*Please only apply if you are ready to meet and adopt this pet now, and if all family members are in support of the adoption.*
*All cats and kittens adopted through Pyrenees Animal Rescue are only available to homes where they will be kept indoors or in a secure cat run/enclosure. A yard with fencing is not enough to keep an adventurous cat contained, or safe from dogs and traffic. *

Adoption details
Please note- we do not work on a first in best dressed basis, we assess all applications to choose the home that we believe will best match the animal.
If you believe one of our animals would be a good match for your home please send us a detailed email us with some information about the people and any other animals in your home as well as the type of lifestyle you can offer a new rescue pet.
We are volunteerswho run the rescue around families, paid employment and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require you to travel to meet the animal you are looking to adopt. For dog adoptions, any other dogs in your home musr attend the meet and greet, this enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
We reserve the right to refuse the adoption if we don't believe it's a good match for our animals.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care or we will assist you in finding them a suitable new home, this is a condition thst you agree to when signing our Adoption Agreement.
