About Maya
Meet Maya, a gentle and loving dog with a heart full of devotion for those around her. Maya was surrendered to a pound when heavily pregnant and had 10 pups (the Disney litter) while in the facility. Maya has been a wonderful mom to her litter of pups whole in foster care and now that the babes are weaning, she's eager to find a new family on a "foster to adopt" arrangement until she is ready to be desexed.
Maya has an incredibly gentle nature and loves to be part of whatever you're doing. Whether you're checking the letterbox, hanging out washing, or relaxing at home, Maya wants to be involved in your daily activities.
Maya is great with children and other dogs, and her calm presence extends to farm animals like cows and sheep and she has little interest in cats. She's picking up basic commands and has a fantastic recall, making her an obedient canine companion.
She thrives in an indoor/outdoor lifestyle and is perfectly suited for a laid-back family, couple, or single person. While Maya doesn't experience separation anxiety, she does best in a home where she can accompany her family on adventures, car rides, or simple everyday tasks. She would appreciate a family that includes her in activities but wouldn't necessarily need an "active" household.
Maya would love a home where someone is around often, or where she has another doggie friend to keep her company. Her easygoing nature allows her to truly enjoy the company of those she loves, and she’ll happily join you in life's simple pleasures. Whether it’s joining you for a walk, snoozing in the kitchen, or relaxing on the couch, Maya is the perfect four-legged companion ready to share a happy life together.
Medical notes
Maya is weaning her pups and will be looking for a forever home after 24 March.
We are offering a foster arrangement to her lucky new family until she can be desexed, after which her adoption can be finalised and she can officially be a permanent member of the family!
