About Rodney
Meet Rodney – A Clever, Curious Companion! 🐾
Rodney is a smart, affectionate, and adventurous Chihuahua x Fox Terrier mix boy who is looking for a forever home where he can explore, learn, and thrive! He loves people and is always up for a cuddle, but he also needs a family that understands his clever cues and can provide him with reassurance when needed. With the right support, Rodney will continue to grow into a confident and happy companion.
Rodney’s Ideal Home
Rodney would love a stable family environment with plenty of interesting spaces to explore—he’s always ready to stick his nose into new adventures! His ideal family will be patient and committed to continuing his training, helping him build confidence in new situations. He’d do best with older, dog-savvy children (8+) who understand his body language and can respect his need for space when he’s feeling a little overstimulated and he would adore sharing a home with another dog. He is currently mastering the skill of catching flies—he’s not quite there yet, but he’s determined! 🦟
He LOVES running under the sheets while the bed is being made—it’s his favourite game! 🛏️
Rodney’s Energy Level
Rodney has the perfect balance of energy and rest. He enjoys playtime and activity bursts, but he also knows how to wind down and relax when it’s time to chill. Whether you’re ready to go on an adventure or just hang out, Rodney is happy to match your pace!
Rodney’s Suitability with Other Pets
🐶 Dogs: Rodney loves meeting other dogs and enjoys their company! He’d be happy in a home with a friendly canine companion.
🐱 Cats: Rodney isn’t too sure about cats! He will bark at them but seems a little nervous when up close, so a cat-free home may be best.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
