About Russell
Meet Russell, a delightful, friendly and lively Shih Tzu pup who's destined to bring endless joy to his future family.
Born on 16 August 2024, Russell is an affectionate pup, who loves playtime and toys. In one of his photos, he's pictured with his brother Paddy, who's also available for adoption.
Russell is a well-balanced, sweet-tempered boy, who gets on well with other dogs and people of all ages.
He hasn't worked out what sort of dog the cat is yet, but he's getting there.
Russell is a charming companion who thrives in the company of others. Whether it's curling up on your lap or accompanying you on an afternoon stroll, he's happiest when surrounded by people.
Playful and fully house-trained, he's a delight to have around. Plus, he knows some nifty tricks like begging, shaking hands, and dancing, showcasing his intelligence and desire to be the centre of attention (of course).
Although Russell doesn't require loads of exercise, he's a curious pup and will enjoy a good walk. Please keep in mind that Shih Tzus don't do well in the heat. So on hot Summer days, he's better off at home in the airconditioning.
Russell was photographed at the salon of our super groomer, Fran, and is now sporting a short body clip. Maintaining his naturally long, flowing coat is an option for those who enjoy daily grooming sessions.
If you're looking for a loyal and devoted companion, Russell could be the boy for you.
He's not suited to solitary life in the backyard but will thrive in a home where he has abundant company, love and affection.
As always, secure fencing is essential.
Russell is available for interstate adoption, provided he is not required to travel in the cargo hold of a plane.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
