Please meet our new darling boy, Jasper.
Jasper is a beautiful and gentle little fellow with short, ginger-striped fur. He has a white bib and 4 white paws. He has a shy manner (perhaps due to recent upheavals), however Jasper loves you to spend time with him - talking softly to him and giving him gentle pats. When he has become comfortable with you, Jasper will be your best friend and respond with lots of purrs and cuddles. Please read on to find out how to meet his needs:-
LOVING HOUSEHOLD - With good care, Jasper could live a very good life for 15 years. We are seeking loving human companions for him, who will treat him like a member of their family. With gentle guidance, most kittens are very adaptable and we see Jasper living with cat-savvy, respectable children, another cat or perhaps a dog, if Jasper is helped co-habit with them.
LIFESTYLE - An indoor lifestyle is a must for Jasper, as venturing outside shortens a cat's life by many years. Most cats have an instinct to kill wildlife and it's necessary for the cat guardians to be responsible with their choices. An exciting, inside life can be provided by installing a couple of large cat scratchers (near windows and also where people gather). This is also necessary to keep Jasper's nails healthy and prevent furniture scratching. Nice comfy cat-beds with good views will also be appreciated by Jasper. Toys - well, Jasper will just love toys!
AN EXCELLENT DIET - This is one of high-quality dry biscuits, wet food and bowls of fresh, cool water. All these items are important to keep his body and coat healthy. Regular visits to the vet are essential.
A LAUNCH AREA - Jasper is an easy-going boy who needs to feel safe, and a launch area will make it a seamless transition into his new home. This is a quiet area (bedroom or crate), where he has access to all his essentials (bed, food, water, bedding, toilet tray and toys). He can chill out in this space if the need arises. 2) Visit the RSPCA Queensland adoption site at www.rspcaqld.org.au/adopt
3) Search for the animal either by type or location
4) View the animal's profile, and click the link to submit an application
5) RSPCA staff will contact you to inform you about the outcome of your application and to talk through the next steps if your application is successful!
