About Kai
We at Home2Home believe everyone deserves the joy that cat guardianship brings! We love seeing wonderful cats matched with loving adopters, and we don’t want adoption fees to be a barrier to you bringing a loving cat into your heart and home. So if Kai sounds like the cat for you, we ask you to nominate your adoption fee amount. There is no minimum or maximum amount required, and all adoption fees continue to fund PetRescue’s life-saving programs that support pets and people!
If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, and ever-curious feline friend, Kai might just be your ideal match! This lively little shadow cat adores human company and will happily follow you from room to room, making sure you never feel alone. Whether she’s bunting against your legs, curling up beside you on the sofa, or keeping you company while you work, Kai’s affectionate nature makes her a wonderful companion for a household that’s home more often than not.
Kai would thrive in an active home who will enjoy her playful energy and love showering her with attention. She has a fun and cheeky personality, and she’s always up for a game with her favourite octopus wand toy or her beloved green duck. Being food-motivated, she’ll happily remind you when mealtime rolls around—especially if creamy salmon treats are involved! While she enjoys safe outdoor access for a bit of bird-watching, she’s quick to return inside for human companionship.
Despite her playful antics, Kai is a cuddlebug at heart. She loves being picked up, enjoys a good brushing, and will often snuggle up beside you, purring contentedly. Her opal-tinged eyes, fox-like ears, and adorable nose boops make her irresistibly charming. She would do best in a home where she’s the only pet, ensuring she gets all the love and attention she craves. However, she may adjust to a playful cat with a similar energy level.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
