Maple Bacon is overall, a pretty typical malamute! A happy girl, she may not be the sharpest crayon in the box but she makes up for that in good looks. Ideally, she will need somebody with breed experience as she can be very dramatic and stubborn, like many northern breeds!

Maple Bacon is great with other dogs, but would prefer to share her home with a tolerant, playful dog as playing is her favourite thing! A dog around her size would be best, she is not aggressive but sometimes isn't aware of how big she is. She can be stubborn and sometimes a little bit annoying, so does need work on how to take a break and give others some space. She also does not like to share her food, so she is fed in a crate and must continue to be fed separately. She could also be the only dog in the home and have external friends instead :)

Maple Bacon is crate trained, and can sing the song of her people when left alone, but she quiets down not long after you leave the house and settles well. She would prefer if not left alone for full time work hours, though.

She is fantastic on leash, and doesn't pull too much after initial excitement. As typical with Spitz breeds, her recall leaves something to be desired so on leash or fenced only!

While she loves kids, those teens and above would be best, as Maple doesn't understand how big she is, and sometimes isn't so good at shutting her mouth- meaning she's waving around a mouth full of teeth with abandon. 😂

She is a cuddly, snuggly girl who doesn't quite understand personal space, so be prepared for fluff in your face! Nothing gets this girl down, and she is proof that sometimes you don't have to be smart to be happy! And believe me, she will let you know how happy she is with a big woo woo!
