Meet Atticus, the remarkable young dog who's as calm and chilled as he is charming. This one-year-old Maltese/Jack Russell Terrier mix is a perfect blend of gentle demeanor and playful spirit, making him an excellent companion for families or individuals alike. With his striking appearance and serene nature, Atticus is sure to capture your heart.
Loves playing, loves kids, loves toys.
Despite being only a year old, Atticus is impressively composed. Weighing in at a manageable 7 kgs, he's easy to handle and great for those seeking a smaller dog with a big heart. Atticus transfers these qualities seamlessly into his social interactions, thriving around other dogs and children with ease.
Though he's yet to be tested in a feline environment, his friendly nature suggests he could quite easily learn to live with a cat. With his adaptability, he'd likely transition well to homes with other pets, making him a versatile addition to any loving family.
Atticus's health is fully taken care of—he's desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, and wormed. With these health concerns out of the way, all he needs is a loving home. As long as your backyard is secure and your heart open, Atticus is ready to settle in and become part of your world. He has the type of fur that will require grooming.
Located in Kenmore and available for an adoption fee of $895, Atticus is waiting to brighten the lives of a family who craves a calm and loving dog. Imagine the joy of having this little guy by your side, offering you endless love and companionship. If you've been searching for a serene yet playful friend, Atticus might just be your perfect match.

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Here’s some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
🐱 Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the pet’s bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
🐾 Details about your family
🏡 Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
An adoption fee applies to each animal to cover only the basic veterinary procedures, and each adoption goes out on a 21 day settling in period, if the dog is returned in this period, and you’ve spoken to our trainer for assistance, and the dog is returned in good health, mentally and physically, and all their belongings and paperwork are returned, then we provide a refund less $50 admin fee. This is not a trial, but in case of any unknown or unforeseen circumstances.
The adoption process is as follows
✅Everyone that lives in the home will meet the dog with the carer
✅We ask everyone go home again and discuss and think about overnight and contact us the next day
✅This also gives the carer a chance to think about suitability
✅Then if everyone agrees we then require a home inspection, or at least photos of the home yard and fences.
✅Then the adoption fee is paid and once that clears our account you are free to arrange with the carer to collect
✅The adoption paperwork comes out in 14 days in which time you are required to register and change chip over
