About Nutmeg STA012162
Meet Nutmeg, a shy young lady who will win your heart with her gentle demeanor. Though she is initially nervous and timid in new environments, she possesses a quiet charm that's worth the wait. Nutmeg is a "nervous nelly," but with time, patience, and understanding, she will gradually reveal her delightful personality.
Nutmeg would thrive in a serene and stable home, where she could enjoy peace and tranquility without the hustle and bustle of children or the presence of canine companions. Her ideal setting is one where she can explore at her own pace and find comfort in familiar surroundings.
If you're seeking a unique and rewarding experience of nurturing a gentle soul into a more confident kitty, Nutmeg is the perfect match. So, if you have a quiet home and a tender heart, Nutmeg is waiting to embark on this heartfelt journey with you.
From her Foster Home
Although Nutmeg is still shy & anxious & its taken a long time, she has settled in really well. She's very playful and will bring her favourite toys to play with in front of us. She steels stock and drags them down to the living area to attach the living daylights out of them. She hides behind doors and peeps out, we say boo so mow we responds to us calling her Boo.
Nutmeg is very talkative and answers back when we talk to her. She has a very peaceful personality that also has a funny and cheeky side. She greets me every morning when she hears me get up with lots of meows and excited leg rubs.
She loves company and will lay by our feet or very occasionally briefly beside us on the couch. She loves watching the goings on outside through the windows, chattering away to the birds.
She sleeps mainly in her cat cubby in our living area as she likes to watch the daily activities while feeling secure. She would enjoy a quiet house with no children and would make a wonderful companion to a loving home. We hope that in time she will eventually welcome pats and scratches and enjoy the comfort of a warm lap.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
